About Smoky Mountain Journal of Photography
Beauty, techniques and natual history related to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Smoky Mountain Journal of Photography is a free e-magazine distributed as an interactive PDF to subscribers. Its purpose is to share the beauty, techniques, and natural history related to photographing The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the area around it. Near the park are opportunities to photograph three national forests, the Blue Ridge Parkway, state parks, state forests and many other travel destinations.
The content is created by photographers and naturalists who live and/or work in the area. It provides information on how to capture images, how to post-process the images in software and how to understand the natural subjects and the environment they live in. It will also discuss where the best photographic possibilities are located and when is the best time to be there.
In support of the magazine, this website and the SMJOP Facebook page provides an opportunity for photographers and naturalists to exchange images and information. It also provides connections to our advertisers who serve the photography community.
Please, let us know what topics would be of interest in future issues and how we can better serve the readers.
